Is Steven Tyler Back on Drugs?

Friends fear Tyler may be back on drugs

Steven Tyler’s bandmates are concerned about their friend’s well being.

Since falling off stage in August, Tyler has become somewhat of a recluse, and has said he is taking a two-year leave of absence from the band. This has some raising eyebrows at his current condition.

Funny, when this story first broke, I had feared that he may be relapsing, because his behavior just seemed so out of character. It seems my hunches may have been right – unfortunately.

His bandmates also suspect he may be using again. Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer told PEOPLE magazine: “I think that he needs help and that attention needs to be put to his health.” He elaborated that he isn’t talking about Tyler’s broken shoulder, either.

Kramer said he definitely thinks something weird is going on with Steven and hinted that he may be back to partying. “He’s got some bad influences in his life right now and he’s making poor choices,” he adds that Steven has “isolated himself” from his friends.

Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford also spoke with PEOPLE and is equally concerned.

“His behavior is spinning out of control,” he says of Tyler. He is worried, he says, because he doesn’t know where Steven is currently, or how he is doing. He says there has been a gradual change in Steven, and it didn’t just happen after his injury. Over time, he says, Steven has become more and more unreliable, and more and more eratic. The result has been many canceled venues over the past year.

This is SO concerning! And terribly SAD. Steven Tyler is such a great guy, and has been so adamant about staying clean, I just hate to see this happen to anyone. Especially somone who has overcome such consuming addictions and has been a steadfast role model for those trying to get/ stay clean.

Although Tyler kicked hard drugs in the early 80’s, he was in rehab as recently as last year for prescription drugs. Maybe it all started back then? Who knows. Maybe the injury brought on the hardcore relapse. I don’t know. All I know is that I hope he seeks help and gets it. Enough people care about him that I would hope just one person could get through to him. He is a good man and is so talented, I hate to see him come this far only to revert to using again.

Remembering the victims of 9/11 on the 8th anniversary of the terrifying tragedy.

Above: 9/11: The Falling Man the 2006 documentary film about the picture and the story behind it. It was made by American filmmaker Henry Singer and filmed by Richard Numeroff, a New York-based director of photography. It later made its North American premiere on Canada’s CBC Newsworld on September 6, 2006, and has been broadcast in over 30 countries. The U.S. premiere was September 10, 2007, on the Discovery Times Channel.

I think this film really reminds us of what happened that day. How absolutely horrific, sad and tragic it was. Appreciate what you have today, my friends. When something really horrible like this happens all the small stuff doesn’t really matter.

RIP 9/11 victims, all 2,749 of them.

Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the wife of Joey Buttafuoco who was shot in the face point blank by her husband’s teenaged mistress 17-years ago, is speaking out about the ordeal.

“I believed him when he said he had nothing to do with her [Amy Fisher]. He was a very good sociopath and a liar. When I thought about it and looked it up on the internet, and looked at sociopathic tendencies, I said ‘Oh my God.’”

She now believes that Joey is a sociopath. But back in 1992, even after she was shot, she refused to believe that her husband had been having an affair with the “Long Island Lolita”, as Amy was later dubbed by the media. I was 20-years-old at the time and remember thinking, “Is this woman THAT clueless?”

The incident happened after Amy went to Mary Jo & Joey’s home and knocked on the door. When Mary Jo answered, Amy shot her in the face, leaving Mary Jo partially blind in one eye with some facial paralysis.

She served only seven years for the crime and has never shown any remorse. Now she is a porn star who revels in the spotlight.

Joey, on the other hand is remarried and has been in trouble with the law numerous times since the shooting. He’s a real dirtbag. He’s been busted for soliciting a prostitute, insurance fraud and illegal possession of ammunition.
