Justin Bieber won the Milestone Award at the 2013 Billboard Awards this weekend, but the crowd wasn’t too impressed, they booed him.

As Bieber accepted his award, the cameras panned to a couple females losing their mind over Bieber’s win, but the boos could still be heard. Before speaking, Justin gazed at the crowd for a prolonged period of time. At least I think he was, he was wearing mirrored sunglasses, probably because he was stoned out of his head. When he finally spoke he said this:

“I’m 19 years old, and I think I’m doing a pretty good job. And basically, from my heart, I just really wanna say, it should really be about the music. It should be about the craft. The craft that I’m making. This is not a gimmick. This is not a gimmick, and I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of.”

Sounds like someone has been hanging out with Anne Hathaway lately. Making crafts.

Christina Aguilera shows off slim figure 

She may have been the butt of a lot of fat jokes over the past year, but Christina Aguilera has slimmed down and is showing off her new, slender body in a new music video.

The video for “Hoy Tengo Ganas de Ti,” a duet with Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez, will feature Christina in a sexy black pencil skirt and bra-top, looking quite fabulous.

Despite the criticism she received while at a heavier weight, Christina seemed comfortable in her own skin. She told Lucky magzine in 2012: “Actually, the challenge I’ve always had is being too thin, so I love that now I have a booty, and obviously I love showing my cleavage.”

However, the pressure to lose weight must have been great, and she has slimmed down once again.

Do you prefer a skinny or curvy Christina? The good thing about her weight loss this time is that she isn’t toothpick thin, girlfriend is still rocking the curves.

A painting of the late, great Bea Arthur sold at Christie’s auction house in Manhattan for nearly $2 million dollars Wednesday (April 15, 2013)  night.

But it’s not just a regular old painting, no. The portrait is of Bea Arthur naked from the waist up, boobs a danglin’. Of course Bea never sat for the 1991 painting, but that didn’t stop artist John Currin from using his creative imagination. At the time it was revealed to the public, more than twenty years ago, it was quite controversial. Many people thought it was a tacky and misogynistic, while others thought it perceived older women as confident and strong.

An anonymous bidder won the painting for $1.9 million dollars, he placed the bid via phone. Of course he/she was anonymous! Probably some nasty old perverted troll bought it.

Someone obviously has some money to burn, that’s an expensive conversation piece. A damn amazing one though…

I think we were all a little grossed out when we heard Abercrombie & Fitch doesn’t make a size XL, because they don’t want “fat” people wearing their clothing. We were even more grossed out when we saw the A&F CEO, Mike Jeffries, who said he “doesn’t want larger people shopping in his store, he wants thin and beautiful people.”

It didn’t stop there, it got worse. He added that he “doesn’t want his core customers to see people who aren’t as hot as them wearing his clothing. People who wear his clothing should feel like they’re one of the ‘cool kids.’ Abercrombie is only interested in people with washboard stomachs who look like they’re about to jump on a surfboard.”

Surgery & airbrush = celebrity post baby bodies! 

Is anyone else completely disturbed by the trend of celebrities showing off their post baby bodies on magazine covers?

With bikini photo shoots and headlines like, “How I got My Body Back!” it’s a weird freak show of exhibitionist mothers parading their surgically enhanced bodies  while trying to convince us they have the perfect body because they eat right, exercise and have amazing genes.

Yeah, right.

These women have multiple ways of obtaining their post baby body, and it’s not carrots & brocoli, at least not exclusively. These women have money, they have surgeries, they have makeup teams. What “flaws” are captured on camera can simply be airbrushed out. So you won’t ever see one varicose vein or one stretchmark on these celebrity moms. Ever.

Most new mothers are  overwhelmed by baby bottles, diapers and sleep schedules after having a newborn, but celebrity moms are already fast at work, negotiating deals for their big “post baby body” reveal as they secretly get liposuction, tummy tucks, laser treatments, anything and everything, in order to be in bikini shape in a few weeks.

Ever seen a tummy like this on a celebrity post baby body? Of course not!

Instead, we see magazine covers of these women with perfect skin and tight stomachs:

Kourtney Kardashian is the WORST at showing off her post baby body. She has sooo many magazine articles, I couldn’t include them all. Every one of them claims she lost a different amount of weight. I guess when you’re the least known Kardashian sister you gotta pimp that bod.

Then there’s Mariah Carey. Of course she wanted to hop on the post baby body train. She’s always willing to fish for attention. For a woman who is so amazingly gifted, I’m always astonished at the amount of attention she needs to get through life. Isn’t being beautiful and talented enough?

The reality stars are probably the biggest offenders, mostly because they are just trying to stay relevant.

So yeah. I’m over the whole “look how amazing I look after having a baby,” thing. Celebrities using their babies to generate income, and for shameless self promotion. It’s vanity at it’s finest.

In a piece written for the NY Times, actress Angelina Jolie revealed she recently underwent a double mastectomy as a means of prevention. Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, lost her life six years ago after battling breast cancer. Jolie explains her situation:

MY MOTHER fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was.

We often speak of “Mommy’s mommy,” and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me. I have always told them not to worry, but the truth is I carry a “faulty” gene, BRCA1, which sharply increases my risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman.

Only a fraction of breast cancers result from an inherited gene mutation. Those with a defect in BRCA1 have a 65 percent risk of getting it, on average.

Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy. I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex.

On April 27, I finished the three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved. During that time I have been able to keep this private and to carry on with my work.

But I am writing about it now because I hope that other women can benefit from my experience. Cancer is still a word that strikes fear into people’s hearts, producing a deep sense of powerlessness. But today it is possible to find out through a blood test whether you are highly susceptible to breast and ovarian cancer, and then take action.

My own process began on Feb. 2 with a procedure known as a “nipple delay,” which rules out disease in the breast ducts behind the nipple and draws extra blood flow to the area. This causes some pain and a lot of bruising, but it increases the chance of saving the nipple.

Two weeks later I had the major surgery, where the breast tissue is removed and temporary fillers are put in place. The operation can take eight hours. You wake up with drain tubes and expanders in your breasts. It does feel like a scene out of a science-fiction film. But days after surgery you can be back to a normal life.

Nine weeks later, the final surgery is completed with the reconstruction of the breasts with an implant. There have been many advances in this procedure in the last few years, and the results can be beautiful.

I wanted to write this to tell other women that the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy that I made. My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent. I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.

It is reassuring that they see nothing that makes them uncomfortable. They can see my small scars and that’s it. Everything else is just Mommy, the same as she always was. And they know that I love them and will do anything to be with them as long as I can. On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.

I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive. So to anyone who has a wife or girlfriend going through this, know that you are a very important part of the transition. Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has.

For any woman reading this, I hope it helps you to know you have options. I want to encourage every woman, especially if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer, to seek out the information and medical experts who can help you through this aspect of your life, and to make your own informed choices.

I acknowledge that there are many wonderful holistic doctors working on alternatives to surgery. My own regimen will be posted in due course on the Web site of the Pink Lotus Breast Center. I hope that this will be helpful to other women.

Breast cancer alone kills some 458,000 people each year, according to the World Health Organization, mainly in low- and middle-income countries. It has got to be a priority to ensure that more women can access gene testing and lifesaving preventive treatment, whatever their means and background, wherever they live. The cost of testing for BRCA1 and BRCA2, at more than $3,000 in the United States, remains an obstacle for many women.

I choose not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer. It is my hope that they, too, will be able to get gene tested, and that if they have a high risk they, too, will know that they have strong options.

Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of.

Kudos to Angelina for making such a brave choice and for going public about it. No question that would be a very difficult decision, and her choice to share her journey with us is to be commended.

Former supermodel and flame haired beauty Angie Everhart has thyroid cancer, her publicist confirmed with the media. Rumors have been circulating that Everhart has cancer, but there had been no official statement from her camp until the weekend.

Everhart’s spokesperson has revealed that the rumors are true, but that Angie should come out of this okay.

“Word has been trickling out about supermodel/actress Angie Everhart’s health. She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however, the prognosis is very good. She will undergo surgery tomorrow (Tuesday, May 14) and expects to be back to work and to mommy duties in a few weeks. The most important reason she is revealing this information is to encourage people to learn about cancer prevention, it’s signs and treatment immediately.”

Angie, 43, is a mother to son, Kayden, 3.

I have to admit, Survivor Caramoan was a weird season for me. I was initially excited to see a few of the favorites return, because it was kind of the Survivor Motley Crew of returning players. With characters like Phillip, Brandon Hantz and Malcolm, I thought the season would definitely be interesting. In actuality, it was a bore, until the last few episodes.

Despite the mostly lackluster season, the Survivor Caramoan finale was actually pretty good. But it was also uncomfortable and awkward at times, I’m sure you noticed. So without further ado…

Top Moments of the Survivor Caramoan Finale & Reunion Show:

Eddie’s Dog Bar: A clean shaven Eddie tells us if he won the money he would open a bar where people could bring their dogs. Because he loves dogs, and he loves bars. Everyone said ‘WTF,’ I said, “I would totally go there.”

Cochran Wins 10 Challenges: I bet none of you would ever guess that Cochran, the weakest physical player on Survivor: South Pacific, would walk away with TEN challenges won this season.

Brenda Insists that Dawn Remove Her Teeth: Yes, this relationship is damaged beyond repair. Before the finale aired I’d heard they didn’t talk until the reunion show, and it looks like it was true. At the finale, sweet little Brenda was ready for her revenge and it was pretty brutal, but at the same time it was pure genius.

She asked Dawn if she REALLY would have quit the game had she not rescued her false teeth from the water. Dawn said she wouldn’t have. Brenda tells her to PROVE IT by removing her false teeth for everyone to see. Brenda’s one bad bitch, did everyone forget what she was like on Survivor: Nicaragua?

Brenda’s Knocked Up: If Brenda wasn’t cute enough already, she’s super adorable with a preggo tum-tum. I was waiting for Jeff to proclaim, “…and it’s MINE!”

Sherri , Who?: Sherri was practically invisible to Jeff Probst (and the cast) on the Survivor Caramoan finale. It was weird, and even though I never found myself rooting for her this season, she deserved at least some participation on the show. But then again…

Sherri’s Speech: Okay, so the one time Sherri does talk, she delivers possibly the single worst speech to jury, EVER. Instead of convincing the jury that she deserves to win the $1 million dollars she told them she is a successful business woman who played Survivor the way she runs a business. She seemed to talk down to the group and her words didn’t form  a clear message. She simply couldn’t wait to tell everyone she was rich in real life.

CBS Hantz Free: Brandon was absent on the finale and at the reunion. Apparently Russell Hantz threatened him and CBS banned all the Hantz’ from the show. Go back through Russell’s tweets. They’re ridiculous. He says he flew to L.A. to kick Phillip’s ass. Even goes as far to say he contacted a lawyer who will get him out of jail if/when he does. That’s so funny. Russell is like, 3.5′ tall, and Phillip, like 6.5′ tall. I doubt Russell could do anything but nip at his feet. Oh, the Hantz’s. I hope CBS is done with their ass.

Cochran Wins: Would you ever have guessed it? Yep, Cochran beat Malcolm.

Phillip & Stealth Are Us: For reasons I couldn’t quite understand, Phillip kicked Sherri out of Stealth R Us (she was pretty tore up about it, heh) and he later invited Jeff Probst to replace her.

Phillip gave Jeff his secret agent name, The Piercing Eagle. Sounds naughty!

Malcolms Hair: His “long, flowing locks” (as Probst described them) were almost distracting. I said he looked like The Lion King. Or that thing on Beauty & The Beast from that 90s TV show…

Gwyneth Paltrow, either you love her or you love to hate her.

After making an appearance at the Met Gala in NYC on Monday, Gwyneth swears she will never return. She was absolutely miserable. Gee, who could tell by that beaming grin on her face (above)?

She told USA Today, ”I’m never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.”

And what did YOU do on Monday night?

Poor Gwynie. It must suck to have to attend such lavish events. Typical her.

One person who is also annoyed with Gwyneth Paltrow and her snobbish ways is RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon. Jinkx told US magazine: ”Gwyneth Paltrow, she always looks like she’s about to cry. I wish someone would just kick her and get it over with. But I loved her in The Royal Tenenbaums.”

Cover: Britney Spears Shape Magazine 2013

I’m not sure what Britney Spears has to prove right now, but she’s showing off her bikini body on the latest issue of Shape magazine.

She doesn’t look very comfortable in that awkward position, and she’s airbrushed to the hilt. Do you remember her Candies bikini before & after airbrushing pics we posted a few years back?

When I look at Britney I always feel like she’s such a puppet. Like, she just “checks out” when she’s performing or posing for photos. Is it just me? Anyhow, airbrushed or not, she looks great, and classy next to that not-so-subtle “BODY BUILT FOR SEX!” headline creeping up on her left thigh. Poor girl, I bet you a million bucks she wasn’t expecting to be paired with that headline.

Oh, and Brit, honey, it’s time to let the dangling belly ring go. It’s time.
