Samantha Ronson Avoids Court by Paying Fine

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Samantha Ronson has paid her outstanding balance of more than $86,000 to Perez Hilton in a judgement awarded to the blogger one year ago.

Ronson was due in court today, for not paying the balance, but paid off her debt last Friday and will not have to appear in court.

Troll blogger was sued by Ronson last year for defamation after he claimed that the cocaine found in Lindsay Lohan’s car after her May 2007 car crash was hers.

The case ended up being thrown out, but the troll blogger was awarded more than $86,000 to cover his legal fees.

Troll’s lawyer Bryan J. Freeman confirms that Ronson has paid her debts saying, “For fear of having to appear in court, she paid off the judgement.”

Clay Aiken Comes Out of His Glass Closet

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Not that we didn’t know already, but Clay Aiken has decided to officially come out of the closet and declare to the world that he is gay.

He says he’s not doing it to appease the public, nor is he really doing it for himself. He is doing it for his new baby, Parker.

“It was the first decision I made as a father. I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

Still, he says he expects a backlash from fans who don’t accept him for who he is.

“Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it’s going to be a lot. [I hope my fans] know that I’ve never intended to lie to anybody at all. But if they leave, I don’t want them to leave hating me.”

Aiken, 29, comes from a Christian family and says he found it difficult to tell his mother the truth. Then one day he just couldn’t hold it in anymore. He and his mother, Faye, had just dropped off his younger brother Brett, who was being deployed to Iraq, at Camp Lejeune.

He recalls, “I started crying in the car. It was dark. I was sitting there, thinking to myself. I don’t know why I started thinking about it. I just started bawling. She made me pull over the car and it just came out.

“She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting. She still struggles with things quite a bit, but she’s come a long way.”

Regarding his own son, who was conceived via in-vitro fertilization, he says that he will be “accepting and allowing him to be happy. I have no idea if he’ll be gay or straight. It’s not something I’ll have anything to do with, or that he’ll have anything to do with. It’s already probably up inside the code there. No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing.”

Good for Clay. People make fun of him, but I think he is adorable. I bet he feels like the weight of the world has just been lifted off his shoulders.

And isn’t his baby just darling??

Samantha Ronson Doesn’t Work in Lesbian Nightclubs

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Supporters of a renowned lesbian bar in New York’s West Village were left scratching their heads after Samantha Ronson turned down a gig to help the struggling landmark.

‘Rubyfruit’ in the West Village ended up closing, unable to keep up with rising rent costs and a smaller crowd.

However, just this week someone stepped up and financially helped out the club, which will be reopened and named the ‘RF Lounge’.  The grand opening will be in November.

Rubyfruit’s previous DJ, Stacy “Deejay Stacy” Ledwith says it’s all true.  Samantha wanted to have nothing to do with the club - especially after she learned it was a lesbian bar.

She explains, “The owner, Debra Fiero, said how great it would be if Sam Ronson deejayed there one night. At first, her agent said it was $8,000 for the night plus airfare and hotel. Then, he was informed it was a gay and lesbian bar, we were told she doesn’t do those kind of venues. She doesn’t do gay and lesbian bars and clubs. I thought it was kind of strange considering she’s a lesbian. It would have been really great to have her in there and help. It’s really like betraying her sisters. It just doesn’t make sense.

“In our day and age, being gay or lesbian is so accepted. It doesn’t make any sense whatsoever to not work with your own people.”

On the flip side, Samantha’s publicist, Brandon Phelps, insists the story has been fabricated.

He says, “It is not true. I can tell you that I am the only one that runs her calendar and was never approached by Rubyfruit.”

George Michael Still a Crackhead, Cruising Bathrooms

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

George Michael was caught again this weekend with drugs while carousing a public bathroom.

Of course the bathroom was one of those where gay men have random sexual encounters.

A bathroom attendant informed police and when officers arrived they found Michael, 45, with marijuana and crack cocaine on him.  He was taken to a police station where he admitted the drugs were his.

Police say that the pop star “showed remorse” so they decided to let it go and not charge him with anything, which seems odd since Michael has been arrested numerous times for the same thing.  Makes no sense.

A police spokesperson said, “He was taken to a North London police station where he received a caution for possession of class A and class C drugs. He has been released and there will be no further action.”

Ok, so don’t throw him in jail, but at least make this guy go to rehab.  He’s a MESS!

George Takei Finally Gets Married

Monday, September 15th, 2008

Ever since the California Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage was legit and legal in that state, George Takei has been talking marriage.

After more than 20 years of being together in a committed relationship, Takei, 71, and longtime partner, Brad Altman, 54, finally wed Sunday evening in a Buddhist ceremony in L.A.

There were over 200 guests at the lavish ceremony, which included Star Trek co-stars, Nichelle Nichols and Walter Koenig, who were the maid of honor and best man.

Nichols said it was a beautiful and emotional event. “I was fighting back the tears. But they came oozing out anyway. I’m so happy that they’re both able to legally proclaim their commitment to one another after spending the past 21 years together.”

Takei was overwhelmed with emotion as well. He said,

“All I can remember is what the priest said. That this moment will never happen again. It’s something to savor.”

Congratulations!
