Matt Lauer, George Bush interview on the Today Show, 11/9/2010

The Today Show’s Matt Lauer sat down with George W. Bush for a rare interview with the former President of the United States.

George Bush tells Matt Lauer why he has laid low since handing the Presidency over to Obama, why he thinks waterboarding is a suitable means of extracting information from our enemies, the war in Iraq and the lack of weapons of mass destruction that were (not) found, and whether or not his job as President was a success.

The below video of Matt Lauer’s interview with George Bush is a bit more personal and more relaxed. George Bush talks about his mother’s miscarriage and how it relates to his stance on being Pro-Life, he also talks about his days of heavy drinking and has a pretty shocking story of being drunk, he also talks about being sober. George Bush also opens up about his relationship with his father and when Matt Lauer reads part of a letter that his father wrote to him George gets tears in his eyes.

This man left our country in the worst financial shape it’s ever been in, taking over from a president who left Bush a financial surplus of over a trillion dollars, in 8 years after he took office we are more in debt, our economy destroyed and this fool now wants people to buy his book? That takes some real brass balls. The wars alone should make him hide in shame, and the money he and Cheney profited from directly by starting those wars. Halliburton anyone? Sorry but Bush offends me.

Anyone can bash a president…if you think you can go through what bush went through and do a better job, then go be president and see how well you last. Even though you wont go through some of the worst things that happen in the history of the United Sates..like 911 for one.

9/11- Waterboarding.. Well let’s see..how many people died in 9/11 ? To many and any life taken out by 9/11 is one to many.Now I will say this.Bush kept us safe and did not put up with the attacks on America or the American people.What was he suppose to do ? What, do as Obama does crab them and give them a cool hotel ? Obama is a coward ! Our military had to go though some of this… So Boo Hoo to those who say anything of Bush.Look what we have now so many attacks and the lame stream media of which Matt Lauer works at is nothing but a peice of trash and liars they are.As Matt Lauer tried to get al over Kenye West because he called Bush a rasist. I love President Bush – we are not perfect and we can’t expect him to be, however, the world is not perfect either – remember 911 please!!! Can’t wait to read the book. Wish we could have him back but Patin will do just fine – go Palin 2012!!!!
