Tracy Morgan Gay Jokes Offend During Nashville Show

Tracy Morgan offends crowd with his anti-gay jokes

Tracy Morgan, who has been known to get quite controversial, must have forgotten to bring his ‘politically correct filter’ to his Nashville show last week.

The 30 Rock star and SNL alum had people walking out of the show and booing him after telling some very raw jokes about gays. Tracy Morgan essentially told the crowd that he could never deal with having a son who was gay. In his own words:

“He [son] better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I’ll pull out a knife and stab that little n**ger to death.”

Ouch! Then Tracy continued on saying that being gay was something that was learned, not something you were born as.

“Gays need to quit being p*****s and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying. Gay is something that kids learn from the media and programming.”

After the crowd became wiley and upset, Tracy spit back:

“I don’t [bleep] care if I piss off some gays, because if they can take a [bleep] d**k up their *ss, they can take a [bleep] joke.”

Of course the venue where Tracy Morgan’s show went down is absolutely mortified with the gay “joke” controversy and they have apologized in a public statement:

“The Ryman Auditorium regrets that people were offended by statements made by Tracy Morgan during his June 3 appearance. The Ryman does not control the content presented by people appearing on its stage, nor does it endorse any of the views of, or statements made by, such persons.”

Ok, so Tracy Morgan said some pretty awful things, but was it purely comedy? Comedy has sure changed, and I am only saying that because it is true. For those of you who can remember back to the 1980s, this sort of comical style was pretty much the norm.

Tracy’s jokes really crossed the line when he said he would “stab the little n***er to death.” Chilling words! So he doesn’t jive with gays and he thinks it’s learned, that’s his opinion. There are always going to be people that feel that way unfortunately, but it is their right. But the stabbing part, especially in this day and age when we hear so many horrific stories of people killing one another, just yikes! Insinuating that you would murder your offspring because he were gay…yeah, that’s not very hilarious.
