Amanda Knox arrives in Seattle, makes statement to media
After four years in an Italian jail, accused of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher, Amanda Knox is a free woman, back in her hometown of Seattle.
Upon her arrival she spoke at a press conference for the media at Seattle’s SeaTac International Airport. Knox said she had to be reminded to speak English as she has been accustomed to speaking Italian since 2007. During the press conference Amanda Knox thanked her supporters and those who stood by her family. There were lots of emotion and many tears. She ended with: ”My family is the most important thing to me right now and I just want to go home and be with them.”
You can bet she will sleep like a baby tonight – maybe even for a week. Lucky for her, the weather in Seattle is just perfect for that right now.
